Статья посвящена обзору проникновения и утверждения мусульманской культуры в древнем Дербенте, который выступал главным центром распространения ближневосточных культурных традиций на крайней северной границе ареала раннего мусульманского мира. Показывается, как именно «движущие силы» этой культуры – арабский язык и ислам – проникали в регион с завоевательными походами арабов, но на многие века не только пережили их, но и стали неотъемлемой частью культурной жизни местных народов, сыграли решающую роль в формировании духовной культуры и нравственных ценностей. : The article is devoted to the review of the penetration and approval of Muslim culture in ancient Derbent, which acted as the main center for the dissemination of Middle Eastern cultural traditions on the extreme northern border of the range of the early Muslim world. It shows how the "driving forces" of this culture – the Arabic language and Islam – penetrated the region with the conquest of Arabs, but for many centuries not only survived them, but also became an integral part of the cultural life of local peoples, played a huge role in the formation of spiritual culture and moral values.
