Summary: | Martimo_57B is a pyrrhotite-quartz-mica schist drill core sample. The sample was extracted from the Paleoproterozoic Martimo metasedimentary belt of northern Finland. The XCT resolved the spatial distribution, shape and orientation of pyrrhotite grains localized in mm-thick metapelitic laminae. The sample was also used for the AMS (Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility) analysis. Results from another drill core (sample 57), which actually comes from the same location, are already published in Sayab, M., Miettinen, A., Aerden, D., Karell, F., 2017. Orthogonal switching of AMS axes during type-2 fold interference: Insights from integrated X-ray computed tomography, AMS and 3D petrography. Journal of Structural Geology 103.
