We thank Hans Oerter, Alfred Wegener Institute, for acting as the chairman since 1999, and for all the effort he has done with publishing the previous FRISP reports 1-13. After the meetings the decision was made to include papers from the 2000 and 2002 workshops in this FRISP report No 14, and while it has been slow process, it is good to finally see it through now in 2006. The 2002 meeting saw the first visits of our Australian colleagues, thus this report contains activities from the Amery ice shelf, along the lines of FRISP is now being a more general forum covering activity on Antarctic Ice Shelves in general. Adrian Jenkins was elected as the new chairman, and Lars H. Smedsrud as a new editor of the reports/www pages.
