Summary: | These datasets consist of genetic data for 115 Atlantic salmon populations from northern Russia and Norway. The data files are background documentation for the article “Population genetic analysis reveals a geographically limited transition-zone between two genetically distinct Atlantic salmon lineages in Norway” published by Wennevik et al. in Ecology and Evolution. Supplementary file 1_Raw data contains the allele scores for 18 microsatellites for these populations, in a format suitable for further analysis in software such as GenePop, Structure etc. Supplementary file 2 contains three sheets. The first sheets contains a Structure plot at K=2 for over 9000 individuals from the 115 populations. This plot excludes one of the markers that is potentially under selection. The plot based on all 18 markers can be found in the article. The second sheet contains a matrix of pairwise FST-values between all populations. The third sheet displays the parameters of the model fitting for the cline analysis decribed in the article. Supplementary file 3 contains the individual cline graphs for all 18 microsatellite markers. |
