The last three profiles are from the Lomonosov Ridge, near 89°N. Profiles were collected using the microstructure profiler MSS90L from ISW Wassermesstechnik (Germany) and a motorized winch, through a hole in drifting 2-m thick pack ice. The dissipation rate estimate is the average from two airfoil shear probes. The temperature and salinity profiles are measured by precision sensors on the same instrument. ...
