Description
Summary:These water quality data were collected from lakes in the region of Kangerlussuaq, Greenland (66-68° North and 50-53° West) in June or early July from 2013-2018. Lakes in the cooler/wetter (CW) area are located closer to the Greenland Ice Sheet, while lakes in the warmer/drier (WD) area are located nearer to the Kangerlussaq airport. The purpose of this dataset is for use in analysis of temporal coherence of lake variables across the Kangerlussuaq region and to examine relationships between climate drivers and lake variables. DOC is Dissolved Organic Carbon in milligrams per liter (mgL-1. a380 is the sample absorbance at 380 nanometers (nm) in units of per meter (m-1); a254 is the sample absorbance at 254 nanometers (nm) in units of per meter (m-1). chl a is total water column chlorophyll a concentration in micrograms per liter (μg L-1). 1% PAR is the depth of 1% remaining photosynthetically active radiation. Water temperature is in units of °C. ...
