Ground resistivity near two creeks in the foothills of the Brooks Range, Alaska, May 2017

This ground resistivity dataset was developed in conjunction with 4 other datasets linking eco-hydrological processes in two creeks in the northern foothills of the Brooks Range. This dataset describes the electrical resistivity 6 transects perpendicular to the creek. The transects are split in two...

This dataset describes the electrical resistivity 6 transects perpendicular to the creek. The transects are split in two distinct regions; an area where the creek is gaining water and an area where the creek is losing water to groundwater. Each region was characterized by three transects. The resistivity of the ground is measured with a Very Low Frequency (VLF) Electromagnetic device manufactured by Gem Systems. The collected data was inverted a software package VLF2Dmf by EMTOMO to extract the measured data into vertical profiles. These profiles are provided as portable document format files (pdfs) in the datasets for each transect that was measured.
