HIGH Weather station was installed at our High Camp field site where the elevation is approximately 950 m.a.s.l. and the ice is ~750m thick. Each station was equipped with a HOBO/ONSET U30 data logger set to record observations continuously every 15 minutes. Each station was mounted to 1.25-inch aluminum conduit, drilled and frozen into the ice. Instruments were mounted approximately two meters above the ice surface upon initial installation in 2017. During the 2017 melt season HIGH weather station experienced surface lowering of 50.2 centimeters (cm) from 2017-07-30 through 2017-08-15.
