GPS-derived data from the Pâkitsoq Region, Western Greenland Ice Sheet during the 2011 summer melt season

Eleven on-ice GPS stations were established in the Pâkitsoq Region of the western Greenland Ice to measure changes in ice velocity associated with the variation in surface melt and subglacial conditions during the 2011 summer melt season. These data span between May 20, 2011 and September 17, 2011 a...

The dataset included here contains modeled surface melt rates, ice velocity, longitudinal, lateral and vertical strain rates, and basal uplift and uplift rates derived from a series of high precision, L1/L2 Global Positioning System (GPS) stations. Each observation is posted at a 15-min interval with a 6-h phase preserving filter designed to extract diurnal variations in station position.
