Spectral Reflectance Measurements NIMS grid Barrow, Alaska 2015

Spectral measurements were taken at each meter of the Networked Info-mechanical Systems (NIMS) grid in Barrow, Alaska during the summer of 2015. The NIMS grid is situated about 200 meters to the north east side of the International Tundra Experiment (ITEX) dry sites. Measurements were taken from the...

The NIMS grid is situated about 200 meters to the north east side of the International Tundra Experiment (ITEX) dry sites. Measurements were taken from the edge of each white board located at each meter aimed at the plots. The instrumentation used was a Unispec dual channel (DC) spectrometer with fiber optics as sensors. A manfrotto tri-pod with an arm attachment was used to hold the fibers and sensors in place while taking the spectral measurements. The arm had 2 bubble levels to assist in keeping the sensors as level as possible. The calculated foot print cover is about 50-60 cm using a tripod height of 1.62 meters. The sensor angle for each scan is 20 degrees. Dataset Barrow Tundra Alaska DataCite Metadata Store (German National Library of Science and Technology)
