Drone-based mapping of the Endalen alluvial fan in Svalbard
This database contains a digital elevation model (DEM) and an orthomosaic map of the Endalen alluvial fan in Svalbard. The DEM and orthomosaic were built from drone-based images and a structure from motion (SfM) method with Agisoft Metashape version 1.7.4. The Endalen alluvial fan is a river outlet...

This dataset was generated in scope of a course at the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS): "AG-221 Arctic Physical Geographical Field Techniques". The dataset contains results from 2019 and 2021. The 2019 dataset covers a smaller area but with different mapping settings (i.e. drone altitude and sideways overlap). The 2021 dataset covers the entire area.
