Description
Summary:Micrometeorological monitoring has taken place at the site MM1 since 2000. In 2011 an energy balance mast was put up about five meters East of the existing eddy covariance mast. The mast is located on a well drained Cassiope heath, about 150 meters North of the 'Climate station' (operated by ClimateBasis). Data is recorded every half hour. In September 2015 a new temperatur rod with 16 BetaTherm thermistors (measuring temperature for every 10 cm) was installed adjacent to the energy balance mast, in order to improve the snow temperature measurements, at the site. In August 2016, NDVI is measured at the site. Soil properties:Soil properties GeoBasis Zackenberg:The GeoBasis monitoring programme focuses on selected abiotic characteristics in order to describe the state of Greenlandic terrestrial environments and their potential feedback effects in a changing climate. Monitored plot data is up-scaled to a landscape level and is used to improve ecosystem models to be able to quantify these feedback mechanisms. ...
