Summary: | The automatic weather station AWS3 was installed in July 2013. It is located in the southern part of Blæsedalen (90 meter above sea level) in an open gently rolling area. It is a relatively dry location where the bedrock is only covered by a thin layer of soil with low heath vegetation/dwarf shrubs. The time stamp refer to West Greenland Standard Time (UTC-3). Soil temperatures are measured at 5, 10, 20 and 40 cm´s depth from July 2018. Soil moisture measured in the same depth (by the same sensor) exist from July 2013. Find these data under Soil (AWS3-SoilMoisture). Find meteorological data from AWS3 under Meteorology (AWS3-Meteorology). All data are logged by 30 minutes interval. Soil:Soil GeoBasis Disko:The GeoBasis monitoring programme focuses on selected abiotic characteristics in order to describe the state of Greenlandic terrestrial environments and their potential feedback effects in a changing climate. Monitored plot data is up-scaled to a landscape level and is used to improve ecosystem models to be ... |
