No abstracts are to be cited without prior reference to the author.To rebuild New England's most iconic fish, it’s critical to know when and where they reproduce. The trouble is, in many cases we don't. The Nature Conservancy collaborated with concerned fishermen, and government and academic researchers using passive and active acoustic methods, monitored by an array of fixed stations and autonomous underwater gliders, to document the spatial and temporal extents of winter Atlantic cod spawning in Massachusetts Bay over three years.
