It was decided by Council (C. Res. 2002/2D07) at the 90th Statutory Meeting, 29 September to 9 October 2002 that: The study group on age-length structured assessment models [SGASAM] (Chair: Dr. K Guldbrandsen Frøysa, Norway) will meet in Bergen, Norway from 3-6 June 2003 to: a) investigate process model formulations, goodness of fit and model sensitivity in age-length based models; b) evaluate the usefulness of such tools in specific case studies on stocks with differing life-histories, data availability and quality, such as sprat, anglerfish, blue whiting, Nephrops, Greenland halibut and deepwater species.
