We collected OEM and supplier investment plans announced in Europe between 2020 and 2022 towards 2030. This data is used to estimate the investment per unit of EV and related battery production capacity in Europe, and eventually to estimate the total planned production capacity of electric vehicles (EVs) and related batteries in Europe out to 2030. In this dataset, you can find the details of the announcement, the OEM and supplier name, the estimated start year of production, announced investment, announced production capacity (e.g., number of vehicles per year, or GWh/year), and the link to the source. Unless otherwise specified, Europe in this paper refers to the 27 European Union (EU) members, European Free Trade Association (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland), and the United Kingdom. Moreover, we categorize the investment announcement into firm and tentative ones.
