Summary: | This dataset is made up of climate model output that is used in the manuscript submitted to Geophysical Research Letters titled “Interannual influence of Antarctic sea ice on Southern Hemisphere stratosphere-troposphere coupling” by Rea et al. There is data from two model ensembles: version 4 of the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model (WACCM) and version 6 of the Community Atmosphere Model (CAM6). We refer you to the manuscript for more detailed information on how the simulations are forced. Data for six variables is available from both models: 200 hPa zonal wind, zonal-mean zonal wind, zonally averaged eddy heat flux (v’theta’), the eddy portion of the geopotential height latitudinally averaged between 50S and 70S, sea level pressure, and precipitation. For WACCM, there are two 10 member ensembles with filenames beginning with "AMIP..." and "CSIC..." and for CAM there are two 8 member ensembles with filenames beginning with "CAM..." ... |
