The point cloud data were acquired with a Riegl LMS-Q680i airborne laser scanner on board the Alfred Wegener Institute's POLAR-5 science aircraft. Basic processing and filtering steps were applied to the ALS point cloud. Based on a classification into ground and vegetation points, a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and rasters of mean and maximum vegetation heights are derived. OPALS software was used to process the raster (tif). Detailed metadata are included. ...
