LA-ICP-MS data from tephra layer in IODP 374 Expedition Site U1524

Trace-element concentrations data determined on single glass shards of U1524 tephra found in Site U1524 of the Expedition 374 of the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP). The analyses have been carried out with a Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) at the...

Description
Summary:Trace-element concentrations data determined on single glass shards of U1524 tephra found in Site U1524 of the Expedition 374 of the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP). The analyses have been carried out with a Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) at the Università di Perugia, Dipartimento di Fisica e Geologiausing a Teledyne Photon Machine G2 laser ablation system coupled to a Thermo Fisher Scientific iCAP-Q, quadrupole based, ICP-MS. Data includes also the analysis of the USGS BCR2G standard used to provide the instrument quality control.
