Permafrost cores and active layer pits on Herschel Island: core attributes, supplement to: Obu, Jaroslav; Lantuit, Hugues; Myers-Smith, Isla H; Heim, Birgit; Wolter, Juliane; Fritz, Michael (2017): Effect of Terrain Characteristics on Soil Organic Carbon and Total Nitrogen Stocks in Soils of Herschel Island, Western Canadian Arctic. Permafrost and Periglacial Processes, 28(1), 92-107

Twelve permafrost cores and active layer pits were drilled/dug on Herschel Island in order to estimate the soil organic carbon and total nitrogen contents in the first 30, 100 and 200 cm of ground. The data are the core information obtained during sampling.
