Therefore the data should not directly be used for grid calculations and charting projects but need to be edited furthermore. One file normally contains a measurement period of one day. The dataset consists of 22 files in originally Seabeam binary multibeam format (*.geo) and additionally of 22 files converted into a more common Seabeam format (*.mb14). Both datasets are compressed with GZIP to size of 11.8 MB. Seabeam data files (*.mb14) can be processed using the open source software package MB-System (http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/res/pi/MB-System/) or the software package CARAIBES from IFREMER.For overview images and shape files of the track see doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.759383, the results of the multibeam survey (phi, lambda, depth) can be found at doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.759293.
