Therefore the data should not directly be used for grid calculations and charting projects but need to be edited furthermore. One file normally contains a measurement period of one day. The dataset consists of 20 files in originally Seabeam binary multibeam format (*.geo) and additionally of 20 files converted into a more common Seabeam format (*.mb14). Both datasets are compressed with GZIP to size of 12.2 MB. Seabeam data files (*.mb14) can be processed using the open source software package MB-System (http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/res/pi/MB-System/) or the software package CARAIBES from IFREMER.The results of the multibeam survey (phi, lambda, depth) can be found at doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.759290.
