Multibeam data were collected during R/V Polarstern cruise ANT-VI/3. Data recording was executed on transit from Ushuaia to Neumayer Station, in southern Weddell Sea off Antarctic ice shelf and on transit to Cape Town. Data recording was supervised by three hydrographers. Data are unprocessed and may contain outliers and blunders. Therefore the data should not directly be used for grid calculations and charting projects but need to be edited furthermore. One file normally contains a measurement period of one day. The dataset consists of 73 files in originally Seabeam binary multibeam format (*.geo) and additionally of 73 files converted into a more common Seabeam Format (*.mb14). Both datasets are compressed with GZIP to size of 40.4 MB.
