In the depth range 1050 m - 1435 m only the F-matches were taken for simplicity of the synthesis, however, many of them were supported by Alfred Wegener Institute. The two matches during termination 1 (703.31-372.09 and 712.255-377.19) are tentative as they are only seen in electrolytical conductivity and DEP but not in SO4. In the data tables by F. Parrein for EDC3 the transition from EDC96 to EDC99 is recommended at 789 m depth; however, no adjustment is made there in the depth-age table to compensate for the off-set of depths (layers of same age are ~72 cm deeper in EDC96 than in EDC99); therefore, it is harmless to make the transition at 780 m as it is done in this table here; care must be taken if this depth interval should be investigated in detail. The last volcanic match is (2366.10-1683.93); beyond this there are only few matches based on dust and isotopes, which are increasingly uncertain. The EDML time scale as based on this synchronisation should stop at 150 kyr BP.
