Description
Summary:This data set was acquired with a ship-based Fluorometer, Kongsberg EM120 Multibeam Sonar system, Meteorological Sensor, Navigation system, and Thermosalinograph during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0508 conducted in 2005 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Patrick Neale). These data files are of JGOFS format and include Salinity, Visible Radiation, Bathymetry, Conductivity, Temperature, Meteorological, Fluorescence, and Infrared Radiation data. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Interactive Effects of UV Radiation and Vertical Mixing on Phytoplankton and Bacterioplankton in the Ross Sea and Interactive Effects of UV Radiation and Vertical Mixing on Phytoplankton and Bacterial Productivity of Ross See Phaeocystis Blooms, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): ANT01-25818, ANT01-27022, and ANT01-27037.
