Description
Summary:The original water stable isotope data for the WAIS Divide Deep Ice Core was generated under the University of Colorado INSTAAR Stable Isotope Lab (NSF Award# 1443328). This data set contains high-resolution dD and d18O data for the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) Divide Ice core. Drilling was initiated in 2006 and completed in 2011, and subsequent analyses on the ice were performed at the University of Colorado INSTAAR Stable Isotope Lab using Continuous Flow Analysis (CFA), completed in 2015 and described in Jones et al. (2017). The targeted resampling of the WAIS Divide Ice core (1035.4 to 1368.2 m) was completed in 2019 (NSF OPP - Antarctic Glaciology 1807522) to replace data analyzed on an older generation Laser Absorption Spectroscopy instrument. The resampling interval was identified using information theory (Garland and Jones et al. 2018).
