La colección de muestras biológicas del Centro Oceanográfico de Canarias abordará, prácticamente, todos los grupos zoológicos marinos (peces, moluscos, cefalópodos...) de la costa oeste africana y del continente Antártico. En constante crecimiento, el Centro, en su Colección de Muestras Biológicas, cuenta, por el momento, con una colección de espinas y cortes de espinas de túnidos, pero incorporará el resto de material biológico que existe en el centro y que se acrecenta cada año (otolitos y escamas, estatolitos de cefalópodos, piel y mandíbulas de condrictios, espinas y cortes de espinas de túnidos, etc). ... : The collection of biological samples from the Oceanographic Center of the Canary Islands will address virtually all marine zoological groups (fish, molluscs, cephalopods...) on the West African coast and the Antarctic continent.
