The census of amphibians and reptiles was carried out using standart protocols (using plots and traps), following Dinesman, Kaletskaya, 1952; Shlyakhtin, Golikova, 1986; Darevsky, 1987, and others. The sites were located in defferent natural vegetation types of the middle taiga zone. All biotopes are characterized according to the standard scheme of geobotanical description. In terrestrial biotopes, animals were caught in cones. In forest biocenoses, grooves were dug, 50 m high and wide (Dinesman and Kaletskaya, 1952). In waterlogged biotopes (all types of swamps, coastal areas of lakes and rivers), fences were made from plastic film (Okhotina, Kostenko, 1974), 30-40 cm high and 50 m long. The census included the species composition, the abundance, physical activity and a number of other characteristics. Depending on the specific task of the study, the in vivo method of studying lizards and snakes was used (Hagstrom, 1973, cited in: Lada, Sokolov, 1999; Zamaletdinov, Khairutdinov, 2006), or we used the ...
