Summary:The point set contains data on the distribution of Neottia (Orchidaceae) species in the Komi Republic. In the territory of the Komi Republic genus is represented by two species – Neottia cordata (L.) Rich and Neottia ovata (L.) Bluff & Fingerh. In the Komi Republic this species are quite widespread. Neottia ovata (L.) Bluff & Finger. (= Listera ovata (L.) R. Br.; Common Twayblade) is an inconspicuous perennial plant, entirely green with two opposite leaves on the hairy stem. It is one of the most common orchids in Western Europe and its geographical range reaches as far as Eastern Siberia in Asia where it can be found in forests and less frequently in meadows. In the Komi Republic it grows in oligotrophic and mesooligotrophic mires, and sphagnous spruce and birch forests. Neottia cordata (L.) Rich. (= Listera cordata (L.) R. Br.; Lesser Twayblade) is a polycarpic, rhizomatous, perennial herb. Neottia cordata has a circumpolar distribution and is one of the few orchids to grow in the Arctic tundra. It ...
