Megafauna of Vestbrona Carbonate Field and surrounding benthos from seafloor mosaics ...

This dataset consists of benthic fauna and features from the Vestbrona Carbonate Field and the adjacent seafloor. The Vestbrona Carbonate Field (VCF) seep site on the Norwegian continental shelf (270 m water depth) was video surveyed with the Remotely Operated Vehicle Ægir 6000 in June 2020. Using e...

Using extracted images and navigation data, two georeferenced seafloor mosaics were generated and all visible features were enumerated in ArcMap (animals, substrates, litter). Three transects just outside the VCF seep were also surveyed and fauna and seafloor features in those transects were also enumerated.
