Description
Summary:The RESAC-SARGAS60 dataset is a subdomain extraction of NATL60 model experiments on the area of the Sargasso Sea, in the North Atlantic ocean, spanning from 26°N up to 66°N in latitude and 65°W to 40°W in longitude. NATL60 is a very high-resolution model experiment having a horizontal resolution of 1/60° in latitude (near 1x1 km at the Gulf stream latitude). Two SARGAS60 extractions are used: SARGAS60-CJM155, having daily output from 1/10/2012 to 1/10/2013, the main dataset; and SARGAS60-MJM155, daily output of March, June, September and December 2008, used for testing. Data from paper “Downscaling of ocean fields by fusion of heterogeneous observations using Deep Learning algorithms” submitted to Ocean Modelling (OCEMOD-D-21-00114) in November 2021.
