International (ICES) and national (UK) fish stock and shellfish stock data from 2020 assessment year

The dataset collected includes assessment output relating to the years from 1905 to 2020 inclusive for the following variables for each stock: the annual recruitment estimate, the stock size (spawning stock biomass), landings (tonnes of fish brought to shore), catches (tonnes of fish caught at sea),...

The stock assessment data for fish and shellfish stocks of UK interest is used to assess indicators of reproductive capacity (based on spawning stock biomass) and fishing pressure (based on fishing mortality). The data sets for internationally assessed stocks were collected from the ICES stock assessments advice sheets of each stock and year. The data sources can be found at the ICES website (http://standardgraphs.ices.dk/stockList.aspx) when selecting the relevant stock and year. In addition there are other data sets collected from the UK national shellfish stocks data, which were taken from the following specific reports: Cefas 2020 Lobster (Homarus gammarus) Stock Status Report.
