In response to the current high risk of flooding to the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus and surrounding residential and First Nations areas, the UBC Social Ecological Economic Development Studies (SEEDS) Sustainability Program has retained Team 10 for the design of a non-traditional, multi-use stormwater management system. A public outdoor learning space was chosen for its overall functionality and minimal maintenance and environmental impact to be the preferred design out of three conceptual designs.
