The EMODnet DTM is made publicly available for browsing and downloading and can be freely used under the condition that it is acknowledged (see How to cite). However for use in commercial software such as electronic mapping packages it is advised to contact individual data providers as an arrangement might be required. Each DTM gridcell has a reference to the source data (bathymetric survey via CDI, composite DTM via Sextant, and GEBCO in case of gaps) used for determining the water depth in the DTM grid cell. The gathered survey data sets can be discovered and requested for access through the Common Data Index (CDI) data discovery and access service that also contains additional European survey data sets for global waters.
