This has been provided with conodonts recovered from selected cores in the Peace River area and from two surface sections in the Liard River area. Conodonts recovered from the lower Kindle (Permian sensu Halbertsma, 1959) indicate Serpukhovian (Lower Carboniferous) ages whereas specimens from the upper Kindle indicate Bashkirian (Upper Carboniferous) and possibly Moscovian (Upper Carboniferous). The Fantasque, which unconformably overlies the upper Kindle in the Liard River area, is dated as Roadian to Wardian (mid-Permian). A fossiliferous carbonate unit traditionally correlated with the Belloy (Permian), but herein referred to as the unnamed formation, yielded Lower Moscovian conodont faunas.
