Unternehmen mit 1 bis 249 Beschäftigten in den Bereichen Herstellung, Dienstleistungen (Groß- und Einzelhandel, Instandhaltung und Reparatur von Kraftwagen und Krafträdern, Transport und Logistik, Gastgewerbe und Gastronomie, Information und Kommunikation, Finanz- und Versicherungsdienstleistungen, Grundstücks- und Wohnungswesen, freiberufliche, wissenschaftliche und technische Dienstleistungen, Erbringung von sonstigen wirtschaftlichen Dienstleistungen, Kunst, Unterhaltung und Erholung) und Industrie (Elektrizitäts-, Gas-, Wärme- und Kälteversorgung, Wasserversorgung, Abwasserentsorgung, Abfallmanagement und Rückgewinnung, Baugewerbe). Der Befragte bei infrage kommenden Unternehmen musste Vorstandsvorsitzender, Geschäftsführer, Finanzchef oder leitender Angestellter mit Entscheidungsbefugnissen sein. Businesses employing 1 to 249 persons in the sectors of manufacturing, services (wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, transportation and storage, accommodation and food service activities, information and communication, financial and insurance activities, real estate activities, professional, scientific and technical activities, administrative and support service activities, arts, entertainment and recreation) and industry (electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities, construction). Whenever a company was eligible the selected respondent had to be a general manager, a financial director or a significant owner.
