Aktuální přehled o početních stavech a místech výskytu rysa ostrovida (Lynx lynx), vlka (Canis lupus) a medvěda hnědého (Ursus arcos) v Chráněné krajinné oblasti Beskydy. Velké šelmy se zde každoročně sčítají podle pobytových stop od roku 1985. Ačkoli se jejich populace od 70. let 20. stol. obnovily, jsou stále závislé na jádrových populacích ze sousedního Slovenska a přes přísnou legislativní ochranu jsou nadále vážně ohroženy hlavně pytláctvím. This article presents current information on numbers and the occurrence of the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx), Wolf (Canis lupus) and Brown Bear (Ursus arctos) in the Beskids Protected Landscape Area (North Moravia). Large carnivores have been tracked annually there since 1985. Although their populations in the area have recovered since the 1970s, they have been dependent on cross-border Slovak core populations. Despite the fact that they are specially protected under the legislation of the Czech Republic, they have been suffering as a result of poaching.
