Druhý díl práce se věnuje poslednímu období výskytu lososa (Salmo salar) v Labi do okamžiku definitivního zániku populace v polovině 20. století. Popisuje záchrannou akci prof. Antonína Friče, během které bylo vysazeno přes deset milionů mladých lososů. Zároveň popisuje postupnou přeměnu Vltavy a Labe v dopravní cestu. Závěr textu se věnuje úspěšné snaze o návrat lososů do úseku dolního Labe a jeho přítoků a dalším perspektivám návratu lososů do českých řek. The second part of this contribution deals with the final stage of the presence of the Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) population in the Elbe River until the moment of its ultimate extinction in the mid-20th century. It describes Professor Antonin Frič's rescue operation, during which ten million young salmon were reintroduced. It also describes the gradual change of the Vltava and the Elbe Rivers into a traffic route. The final part of the text deals with the succesful endeavour to reintroduce the salmon to the downstream of the Elbe River and its tributaries, as well as future prospects for its return to Czech rivers.
