Summary:We compared the frequencies of АРОЕ genotypes and alleles in indigenous population of Yakutia (Russians, Yakuts) and patients with Multiple Sclerosis. In healthy Yakuts group, as compared with healthy Russians group, no statistically significant associations. In group of patients with Multiple Sclerosis were higher АРОЕ ε4 heterozygote frequency. We found an earlier age of onset in the group of Russian women for АРОЕ ε4 allele positive. Progression index is higher in АРОЕ ε4 allele negative group.
