Через призму вопросов депопуляции и миграции населения рассматриваются основные демографические тенденции развития северных регионов России, обусловленные недостаточно комфортными условиями организации жизнедеятельности населения, что определяется группой касающихся качества жизни населения проблем, связанных с занятостью и доходами населения и экономическим развитием северных территорий и влияющих на демографическую безопасность северных территорий, напрямую касающуюся трудового потенциала и баланса территориальных интересов власти и общества регионов Севера. Также выделены демографические проблемы в север­ных регионах, связанные с сокращением численности населения трудоспособного возраста и увеличением демографической нагрузки на трудоспособное население; значительным миграционным оттоком лиц пенсионного и молодого возрастов; высокими пока­зателями смертности людей трудоспособного возраста, среди которых около 80 % составляют мужчины, и др. Актуальность обращения к данным проблемам становится оче­видной в условиях реализации Стратегии развития Арктической зоны Российской Федерации и обеспечения национальной безопасности на период до 2020 года. In the Northern regions of the Russian Federation it is necessary to have an adequate and effective demographic and employment potentials that can provide the necessary level of development of the North's economy to meet the needs of the country in important resources. These processes are caused by inadequate organization of comfortable conditions of life in the Northern regions, as determined by a group of problems related to employment and income; due to the economic development of the Northern areas and the quality of life. These problems affect the demographic safety of the Northern territories, directly relating to the employment potential and the balance of interests of the territorial authorities and the society of the Northern regions. The article also highlights the demographic problems in the Northern regions, associated with the reduction of the working age population and increasing demographic burden on the working population; significant migration outflow of people of retirement age and young; high mortality rates of working-age people, among whom 80 % are men, and others. So, the article is devoted to research the major demographic trends in the development of the Northern Russian regions in terms of the depopulation’s and migration’s issues, which is also due to the relevance and actuality of this problems in the conditions of delivering the Strategies of development for the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and ensuring national security for the period till 2020.
