Summary:В данной статье рассматриваются особенности содержания и структуры учебной дисциплины «Русский язык и культура речи» на географическом факультете. Анализируется констатирующий срез №1, цель которого заключается в определении уровня письменных речевых умений и навыков для дальнейшего соотнесения этих результатов с результатами ЕГЭ. Существуют значительные расхождения результатов проведенного проверочного диктанта и результатов Единого Государственного Экзамена по русскому языку. Сравнение результатов ЕГЭ выпускников школ и результатов констатирующего среза №1 в дальнейшем сформируют основу для объективной оценки уровня знаний выпускников школы, нынешних студентов, а также будет способствовать не только более полному усвоению предметных знаний и умений в соответствии с требованиями ФГОС, но и совершенствованию учебного процесса. The authors of the article discuss the question of the peculiar structure of the discipline “Russian Language and Culture of Speech”, as it taught at the Geography department. (The subject, aim and objectives of the course, types and methods of teaching, forms of control). The article contains the analysis of the assessment №1 in the form of dictation, using the text by I. S. Sokolov-Mikitov “The Taimyr Lake” (318 words). The aim of this work is to appraise written language skills and to compare the results with the ones of the USE (Unified State Exam) in Russian language. There are significant divergences in the results of the dictation and the USE. The comparison of the results shown by the students during the USE and those of the assessment №1 will help to find the base of the objective evaluation of knowledge of graduates and current students. It will also lead to the fuller knowledge acquisition in accordance with requirements of Federal State Educational Standard and further developing of the process of studying. In order to obtain more data on the level of knowledge, other types of assessment will be held at the Geography department, such as essays, compositions, reproductions, oral dialogues and polylogues.
