Decapoda is commercially important group of marine invertebrates, but still weakly investigated. Systematic studies of decapod crustaceans in the Far-East seas were started in 1926, but results of historical observations are partially obsolete now, because of new species definition or revision and changes in taxonomic status of some groups. The paper is targeted to further supplement and extension of the data on decapod crustaceans in the Far-East seas of Russia. The new material was gathered in two cruises of RV Academic Oparin at 62 stations with depth 20480 m and different types of ground located in the Japan Sea and south part of the Okhotsk Sea (from Posiet Bay to Iturup Island). In total, 56 species of Decapoda were found belonged to 21 genus and 7 families. Among them, Spirontocaris spina intermedia, S. murdochi, Lebbeus ushakovi, Sclerocrangon boreas, and Argis ovifer were recorded for the first time in the Japan Sea; and Pagurus bernhardus, P. setosus, P. tanneri, and P. beringanus for the first time in all Far-East seas. The samples were clas-sified according to their composition and vertical distribution. Depth range of habitation was defined more precisely for the following species: Heptacarpus camtschatica, H. geniculata longirostris, Lebbeus uschakovi, Argis ovifer, A. lar, A. hozawai, Crangon propinqus, Rhynocrangon alata, Pagurus middendorffii, P. brachiomastus, P. beringanus, P. cavimanus, and P. lanuginosus. Usual grounds of settlement were defined for 45 Decapoda species. Text okhotsk sea CyberLeninka (Scientific Electronic Library) Boreas ENVELOPE(-3.933,-3.933,-71.300,-71.300) Okhotsk |
