На основании ранее не опубликованных архивных источников была предпринята попытка выявить основные проблемы в развитии пушной торговли Акционерным обществом спичечной и меховой фабрики «Н.П. Рылов и Ф.П. Лесников». Автор проанализировал процесс формирования первого на территории Северо-Восточной Сибири акционерного общества в пушной торговле. Была определена динамика скупки партий пушнины акционерным обществом у промыслового населения северных округов Якутской области в 1914-1918 гг. Выявлены основные причины снижения размеров оборотных средств акционерного общества в пушной торговле, связанные с конкуренцией со стороны местного купечества, отсутствием у предприятия собственного речного транспорта и аппарата наемных приказчиков. This article analyzes the establishment and functioning of "N.P. Rylov and F.P. Lesnikov" Joint Stock Company of Match and Fur Factory on the territory of North-Eastern Siberia. Particular attention is paid to the organizational factors of establishing the Joint Stock Company, the amount of the authorized capital in 1914, 1917, and 1918. Parts of the new company in the fur trade became such major companies as "A.V. Shvetsov and Sons" and "A. and M. Molchanov and Bykov" trading houses. These companies were long engaged in buying furs and mammoth ivory from the indigenous population of North-Eastern Siberia. The main purpose of the Company was trading and production activities, including the purchase and sale of furs to the population of North-Eastern Siberia. In addition, the participation of the enterprises of the Molchanov and the Shvetsov brothers in the Company implied strengthening its positions in the fur trade on the basis of pooling the capital. The process of merging enterprises into a single company did not entail significant changes in the internal structure of the enterprises, preserved areas of trading and trading houses staff. In the second part of the study the sizes of buying furs in the commercial areas of North-Eastern Siberia are analyzed, and it is concluded that the greatest lots of the Siberian "soft stuff" were purchased by the Company in 1916-1917. In order to expand the fur business in 1918 the Company buys the business of "Heirs of A.I. Gromova" trade house in Kyusyur. Substantial investments in the case did not lead to the desired result of an extension of the commercial territories and acquiring new customers. In 1918 the Company was forced to close the business and give it to the Sannikov brothers company. This economic policy of the Company weakened its position, problems arose with the issuance of cash to buy up furs, the size and value of fur lots in 1918 reduced significantly. In addition, the corporation experienced ф strong economic impact of the local Yakut merchants in the face of "Heirs of A.I. Gromova", "Heirs of A.M. Kushnarev", "Northern Commercial and Industrial Association", "G.V. Nikiforov" trade houses. The houses established inflated purchase prices for furs at the end of the commercial season, thereby depriving the Company of large fur lots. The Company''s turnover also reduced due to the fact that it concentrated its activities in the Kolyma District of Yakutsk Region subjected to a strong economic influence of American merchants. Delivery of goods for fur producers was complicated by the lack of the Company''s own fleet, the remoteness of the area and non-development of communication lines. Thus, the Company did not become a monopoly in the fur trade in the NorthEastern Siberia.
