The bear-sending ceremony may provide strong evidence of close relationships between the Nivkhi and the Ainu and circumpolar people. The problem of the bear-sending practices of the Amur-Sakhalin type is still discussed by the scientists, the question is whether such ceremony belongs to the Nivkhi or the Ainu. There was a lack of attempts to compare the ceremonies of these peoples regarding the languages of both ethnic groups. This article presents such attempt to do this comparison.
