В статье рассматриваются основные параметры «Архангельского областного словаря»: состав его словника, структура словарной статьи, способы представления системных связей слова. Отмечается ориентированность «Архангельского областного словаря» на отражение функциональных особенностей живой диалектной речи, на представление в словарной статье сведений этнокультурного характера. Лексикографическое описание общерусских слов в полном объеме их семантики приближает «Архангельский областной словарь» к словарям полного типа. "Arkhangelsk Regional Dictionary" is among the principal subjects of the studies of the Department of the Russian Language of the Philology Faculty, MSU. So far, 14 issues of Arkhangelsk Regional Dictionary were published, letters 'А' to 'Ж'. The total volume of publication is over 300 quires. The first 12 issues were edited by O.G. Getsova, issues No. 13-14 were edited by O.G. Getsova and Ye. A. Nefedova. The Card Index (including the electronic version) totals to about 6 million items. Its glossary contains over 180 thousand words. The difference from the neutral words of the literary language is the criterion for selection of lexis for the Dictionary. Along with the dialects, the dictionary describes colloquial and vernacular vocabulary, outdated in the literary language and not having stylistic colouring in the dialects. Any difference between the word of a dialect and the literary word (excluding regular phonetic and grammatical differences) is the reason for inclusion in the Dictionary of free and semi-free combinations of words, as full as possible. This is supported by sufficient illustrative material usually eight to twenty or more examples for each meaning. This material does not only demonstrate connotations, but also reveals the factual and cultural information about the reality behind the word. A Dictionary entry contains information about synonymy and variance of the word. A full range of synonyms and variants is given with a dominant word, marked by 'Ср' ('Sr', compare). All other synonyms refer to the dominant with the mark 'То же, что' ('To zhe, chto', same as). Issue No. 14 of the Dictionary introduces the marks 'С синон.' ('S synon.', with synonym) and 'С антон.' ('S anton.', with antonym), which represent functioning of synonyms and antonyms in a single statement. Geographical marks indicate the nature of the territorial spread of a word. Arkhangelsk Regional Dictionary pays particular attention to the all-Russian word in the totality of its meanings, including the meanings that coincide with the literary language. All-Russian words have the most advanced semantic structure in comparison with dialects. Dialects better preserve the archaic meanings of a word already lost in the literary language, and more freely disclose its semantic potency in derivatives that do not exist in literary language. Meanings, common to the literary language, usually show differences in lexical and semantic compatibility in dialects. Lexicographical description of the all-Russian words in their full semantics volume approximate Arkhangelsk Regional Dictionary to the dictionaries of general type.
