POLAR-CHANGE Cruise, RV Hespérides
Oceanographic data acquired during the POLAR-CHANGE Cruise (29HE20230214) on board the Research Vessel Hespérides in 2023. The main objective of the POLAR CHANGE Antarctic expedition is to investigate the ocean-atmosphere interface and the cloud condensation nuclei generation under different scenari...

The main objective of the POLAR CHANGE Antarctic expedition is to investigate the ocean-atmosphere interface and the cloud condensation nuclei generation under different scenarios. We investigate the role that marine microorganisms and sea-ice melting have in the primary and secondary marine aerosol generation. Online atmospheric measurements and in-situ lab experiments reproducing the ocean-atmosphere interface will provide data to understand nucleation events and the generation of clouds precursors.
