BENTART-06 Cruise (29HE20060115) carried out on the Research Vessel Hespérides in 2006 The objective of this research is the study of benthic ecosystem in the southern Shetland Islands, Antarctic Peninsula and Bellinghausen Sea, very unknown areas. Samples of physical-chemical parameters of the water, biological and sediment column will be made, using dredges, biological fishing nets and an underwater robot to obtain photographs and record video. The analysis will allow us to see the effects of Agassiz-type trawl fishing techniques, as well as to establish a protocol for the minimization of the negative effects of these gear and the conservation of the benthic ecosystem
