Summary:Libraries have a unique role to play in the delivery of information and educational opportunities for people in the Canadian north or in other isolated communities. Libraries must build partnerships and cooperative agreements to help remove barriers to information. As the librarian for the Akitsiraq Law School program, I wore many different hats in terms of responsibilities and work duties, and I was constantly challenged to think outside the box and to come up with innovative solutions to common library service issues.
