Stranding of two baleen whales ( Balaenoptera spp.) at Murudeswara beach and Padukere, Karnataka coast

A whale was washed ashore, in dead condition at Murudeswara beach, Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka on 24.11 2005. The whale Caracas was found in a highly decomposed state, so detailed morphometric measurements and species identity could not be made.
