The largest part of the collection consists of photo albums and loose photographs that have been transferred to the LBI Photograph Collection. These include photo albums with family pictures in Leipzig and Krakow, 1899-1907; the fur business and street scenes in Leipzig, New York, Norway and Iceland, 1907-1914; family portraits (groups and individuals) in the 1920s; an album of Werner Schild and Susanne Scheier during their engagement period in 1924, marriage in 1925, honey moon and trips to Glogau in 1925; the birth of Frank Bernhard Schild, 1928; Susanne Scheier’s family pictures, including from a trip to New York, 1920; trips to the USA, Canada, and Brazil in the 1920s; photographs in France in the 1930s; vacation trips, 1931/1932; vacation trips in USA in the 1940s and 1950s; and apartment interiors in Kew Gardens, NY in the 1950s and 1960s. Werner Schild was born 1901 in Leipzig Germany. He was married to Suzanne (Susanne) Schild née Scheier, who was born 1907 in Glogau, Silesia.
